A WONDERLAND OF FOUR PASSES FULL DAY TOUR

The mountains of the Western Cape, with their spectacular peaks, fertile valleys, farms and vineyards, are made accessible by means of a stunningly beautiful 200 kilometres tarred road scenic route known as the Four Passes. This clockwise rugged route leads one through some of the most rugged mountain regions in the Cape. Snaking its way the route starts at Helshoogte Pass on to Franschhoek Pass.

Modern road makers have sometimes followed the trails and tracks blazed by wild animals Leading through Valleys full of homesteads, fruit farms, historic towns and villages with breathtaking mountain landscapes. After visiting Villiersdorp and crossing the Theeswaterkloof Dam bridge we head for Grabouw which in spring is ablaze with wild flowers, in summer and autumn the orchards are laden with apricots, peaches, grapes and apples. Finally we summit Sir Lowry's Pass and after stopping to admire the whole of False Bay, Table Mountain and the Cape Flats, descend via the N2 heading past Somerset West for Cape Town.
